Limestone Cottage has recently been completely renovated, while some of its original features have been kept to preserve its character. There is parking for two cars, a fully equipped modern kitchen, a downstairs toilet, an upstairs bathroom with electric shower, a double bedroom and a single bedroom. Gas central heating keeps it cosy all year round.

The main living area has a dining table, sofas and a solid-fuel stove.  Enough kindling, solid fuel and wood is provided for your first evening’s fire (and more can be bought in the village shop or in the next village). There is a smart TV (freeview) and blu-ray player, and unlimited wifi is included.

IMG_0149 v2The kitchen has an electric oven and halogen hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave oven. There is also an automatic washing machine. All crockery and cutlery is provided, with a range of pots and pans, electric hand whisk, cafetieres, tea pot etc. Tea towels are provided.

The cloakroom includes a toilet and hand basin, together with hanging space for wet outdoor gear and a boot-rack below the combi boiler. Further hanging for coats and more shelving for boots and other gear is just inside the kitchen door.

Heating and electricity is included in the price.

The double bedroom has a coat stand and door hooks for hanging, plus a chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. The single room also has a chest of drawers and a small wall cupboard. Bedding is provided.

IMG_0123The bathroom includes a full-length bath – and the combi boiler can provide enough hot water to have a really long, hot soak if you have sore muscles! There is an electric shower over the bath and a large hand basin with mirror. (And there’s a loo, of course!) A bath mat and towels are provided.

Outside there is a lawned area with decking. The table and chairs are normally kept on the decking to make the most of the sunshine, but if the weather is really hot they can be moved into the shady area next to the house. There is also an outhouse with a padlocked door that can be used to store bicycles or other outdoor gear. A rotary clothes-line is kept in the outhouse as well, and there is space for any other outdoor gear you bring.

Unfortunately, we cannot take pets at the moment.

Included in price: gas and electricity, unlimited broadband, bed linen, towels, tea towels, bath mat, cleaning at the end of your stay (just leave the place tidy with your washing up done!).
